What's Included?
Homestart
If your vehicle won't start at home, a Rescue Operator will come out to you and spend up to one hour trying to fix it. If it cannot be repaired, we will arrange for the vehicle to be taken to a local garage.
Roadside Assistance
If you need assistance at the roadside, we will spend up to an hour trying to fix the vehicle. With a network of over 3,500 technicians we aim to reach you within 35 minutes so you can continue your journey with minimal disruption.
National Recovery
We will always try and fix the vehicle at the roadside, if this can't be done we will take you to a local garage. For more extensive repairs we will recover you to your home or final destination.
Onward Travel
Alternative travel for the driver and up to 6 passengers, this can include car hire and/or emergency overnight accommodation. We will always try and find the most effective solution.
The Vehicle is Covered
Our breakdown cover is to the vehicle, not just the main driver. This means that anyone who is insured to drive the named vehicle is covered. This is ideal for households where more than one person drive the same vehicle.

How does it work?
At Driver Guardian, we provide comprehensive UK breakdown cover which covers the vehicle and anyone insured to drive it. Our cover always includes 24/7 roadside assistance, Home Start, National Recovery and Onward Travel.
Call Us
Contact our 24/7 dedicated team immediately when you experience a breakdown, anywhere in the UK (or Europe if purchased). We will arrive to you as quickly as possible, with an average response time of 35 minutes.
Repairs
With our network of over 3,500 technicians, we will spend up to an hour attempting roadside repairs. If we cannot get the vehicle started at the roadside, we'll recover you to a local garage.
Recovery
We will always try and fix the vehicle at the roadside or take you to a local garage to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. For more extensive repairs we will recover you to your final destination or back home.
We like to keep things simple, no hidden fees or confusing terms. With all our policies you can make free policy changes without admin fees — including changing your vehicle. We care about our members and believe they should be rewarded, so we offer all our members a discount at renewal.
