Frequently Asked
Questions
The cost of multi-vehicle breakdown cover depends on a few different factors, including:
• How many vehicles you’re adding to your policy
• The age of the vehicles
• How many miles they’ve done
Of course, the cost of breakdown cover will be more expensive if you add five cars onto your policy than if you only add two.
The cost will also creep up the older the vehicles are, as older cars are more difficult to repair.
It’s the same with your mileage count – the higher it is, the more expensive breakdown cover will be, as vehicles that have travelled further are more likely to break down.
At Driver Guardian, we pride ourselves on being able to offer five-star multi-vehicle breakdown cover for some of the most affordable prices on the market.

You can add more than just cars to your multi cover insurance policy.
Whether you want to get breakdown cover for your van, motorbike, or campervan alongside your car, or you’re a classic car collector and want to make sure they’re all covered for when you show them off at car shows and meets, you’ll be able to do so with one of our policies at Driver Guardian.
You can insure as many vehicles as you’d like – so you can be sure that, no matter which one you’re driving, you’ll never be left stranded due to an unexpected breakdown.
It may sound biased, but we really don’t think you can afford to miss out.
There are pros and cons to both types of breakdown cover, and the best one for you depends solely on your preferences and your circumstances.
Personal cover, for example, means that you:
• Are covered in most vehicles in the event of a breakdown – including motorbikes, campervans, etc.
• Can include several people on a single multi-person policy.
• Have the freedom to drive hire cars, company vehicles, or family and friends’ cars and still be covered.
Personal breakdown cover, though, is often more expensive, and you need to be in the car – either as the driver or a passenger – to be able to get assistance.
Vehicle breakdown, on the other hand, is usually much cheaper and most suitable for people who only drive one vehicle.
However, these policies only cover a particular named car, so you won’t be covered if you drive another vehicle – you will have to purchase a separate breakdown policy to be protected.
You will be covered in the following countries.
Albania, Andorra, Austria, Balearics, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Isles, Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Serbia, Sicily, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey (west of the Bosphorus) and Vatican City.
