    Frequently Asked
    Questions

The most important thing to remember is to stay calm. The situation will be made ten times more stressful if you panic.

If your campervan won’t start up at home, give us a call and we’ll come out to assess the problem and fix it as soon as possible.

If you’ve broken down on the road, follow these steps:

    • Pull over when it is safe to do so, as far away from traffic as possible.

    • Switch on your hazard lights and your parking lights if it’s nighttime or visibility is low. A warning triangle would be a bonus, but if you don’t have one to hand, don’t worry.

    • Switch on your hazard lights and call us on 01704 225588 in the UK, or +441704 225588 from other parts of Europe, and let us know the situation. If you can, use the map on your smartphone to pinpoint your exact location so that one of our recovery operators can reach you quicker.

    • Whilst you’re waiting for us to arrive DO NOT attempt to make any repairs to your campervan by yourself. We’ll show you our ID upon arrival and get to work on your campervan right away. If for any reason we can’t repair your campervan within one hour, we’ll tow it to the closest garage and arrange alternative travel/emergency overnight accommodation for you and up to 6 passengers.

At Driver Guardian, our campervan breakdown insurance policies are designed to be honest, easy to understand and great value for money.

There are never any hidden fees or industry jargon to wrap your head around – just fully comprehensive campervan breakdown cover that you can rely on!

Getting you back out on the road is our top priority, so whether you break down at home as you’re about to set off, or right in the middle of your journey, our recovery operators will be there – day or night – to help resolve the issue.

With 3500 vehicles and technicians, we’ll be with you within the hour, and 95% of the time, we can reach you within 35 minutes – regardless of where you are in the UK – so you’ll be back behind the wheel before you know it!

    Absolutely!

Whether you’ve changed addresses, got a new mobile number or are planning a European road trip and want to be sure you’re covered before you head off, all you need to do is give us a call to let us know or email any changes you want to make to info@driverguardian.co.uk.

All changes are free of charge, but it’s important to note that the price may increase if you decide to add European cover to your policy.

If you have any questions or concerns about an existing policy, or you’d like to enquire about our campervan insurance options, our highly experienced customer support team are always ready to help!
