Breakdown Assistance 

All our policies include; Home start - We’ll send a Rescue Operator if your vehicle won’t start at home and transport it to a local garage if it can’t be repaired. Roadside Assistance - If you breakdown anywhere in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey (or Europe if purchased, full list of countries can be found below) a Rescue Operator will come and spend up to one hour to fix your Vehicle. National Recovery – If your vehicle cannot be fixed at the roadside, it can be taken to a local garage, your final destination or back home. Onward travel - Alternative travel for the driver and up to 6 passengers, this can include car hire and/or emergency overnight accommodation.

First, if you are not at home, pull off as far to the side of the road as possible when it is safe to do so, and call us on 01704 225588 in the UK, or +441704 225588 from other parts of Europe, and let us know the situation. If you can, use the map on your smartphone to pinpoint your exact location so that our recovery operators can reach you faster. Whilst you wait for us to arrive, switch on your hazard lights and parking lights if it’s dark or visibility is otherwise low. When we arrive, we’ll try our best to resolve the issue in an hour – but if we’re unable to do so, we’ll take your motorcycle to a local garage and arrange alternative travel and/or emergency accommodation for you if you’re far from home. 

With 3,500 vehicles and technicians, we can be with you within the hour, and we make it to 95% of callouts within 35 minutes! 

Policy

Yes, you can update your policy details, including your email address, home address, or vehicle registration, by contacting us via phone on 01704 225588 or email at info@driverguardian.co.uk - there’s no admin charge for these updates. If you’d like to add an additional vehicle or an extra member to your Personal Cover or Motor Legal Protection, please call us for a quote. Our team will be happy to assist you. 

On each policy page you will find links for a PDF showing the Full Policy Wording for the cover provided by that policy.

You can renew your policy online by logging into your online account and selecting ‘Renew Policy’. You can also renew your policy over the phone. We send three renewal reminders via email before your policy is due to expire, followed by a final email if your policy has expired. All members receive a discount upon renewal! 

Cover

Yes, you can add a caravan/trailer up to 8M long (not including the towing arm/A Frame), the caravan/trailer is also covered for breakdown. 

You will be covered in the following countries;  Albania, Andorra, Austria, Balearics, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Isles, Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Serbia, Sicily, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey (west of the Bosphorus) and Vatican City.

Our Breakdown policies allow for unlimited call outs per year. / Our Breakdown policies allow for 5 call outs per year.
